RV-4 $950

Our replacement cowling for the RV-4 is for updraft injected or carbureted 320-360 engines.  The cowling is 37" in length and features circular cooling inlets.  It may be used with our pressure plenum to minimize cooling drag.

The cowl is modeled after the original RV-4, which a non filtered induction inlet.  A larger lower scoop will be provided at no extra cost for those desiring to retro-fit with the new, larger FAB 360 filtered induction system.

 

This cowling will require an "M" hub extended propeller or a 2.5 inch propeller extension for the standard "C" hub constant speed propeller.  If used with a wooden or fixed pitch metal propeller, a 4" prop extension is required in order to accommodate the fitting of our plenum.  The plenum has been fitted without the use of an extension but this is tight, difficult work. 

The kit includes:

• Upper and lower halves
  

• Lower scoop (if needed for retro-fit)
  

• New cowl to fuselage (cheek) extension fairings
  

• Three anodized aluminum CNC inlet rings
