This high-quality RV-7 engine cowl is lightweight and has excellent strength characteristics. Our cowl not will not only make your RV-7 look fast, it will also make it go fast. The Extended RV-7 Cowl is for the Fuel Injected or Carbureted Updraft Engines. The RV-7 cowl is used with forward-facing IO-320 engines without extended hub prop or with forward-facing IO-360 with extended hub prop.

All of our cowls are designed to accommodate and work with our plenums. The round inlets of our cowls are matched to our plenums. Our plenums are designed to minimize cooling drag and aid in cooling. We highly recommend purchasing our complete system to maximize the gains for your RV-7.

Rear width at firewall end: 39 1/2"

Upper half height at firewall end: 12 3/8"

Lower half height at firewall end: 21 3/8". Note that this height includes the 3 5/8" deep scoop that runs down the center of the cowl. The main body of the lower cowl at the firewall end is 17 3/4" high. (excluding the scoop)
